Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Cost for non-employees $ 175.
This advanced course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication. Additionally, the course offers instruction on systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). This class is geared to the healthcare practitioners.
Basic life support (BLS)
Cost for non-employees $50.
AHA’s BLS Course provides the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. Updated to reflect new 2015 science, BLS teaches the concepts of high-quality CPR, improvement of chest compression fraction, and high-performing team dynamics.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Cost to Non-Employees $175.
In the AHA’s advanced pediatric course, students learn to use a systematic approach to quickly assess, identify the underlying cause, and treat pediatric patients in emergency situations. Students interact with real pediatric patient cases, realistic simulations, and animations to assess and treat pediatric patients. This includes learning to apply basic life support, follow PALS treatment algorithms, and practice effective resuscitation skills and team dynamics. Through a combination of cognitive learning and psychomotor skills practice, the PALS Course improves students’ confidence and skill levels for delivering effective emergency pediatric care.
Electrocardiographic (EKG) interpretation
Cost to Non-employees $75.
This course provides the student with a thorough understanding of both normal and abnormal heart rhythms. The student will utilize a systematic approach to ensure accuracy in the interpretation of a patient’s heart rhythm. Students learn to interpret a tele strip /or read a monitor printout of an individual’s heart rhythm. Students who pass this course will receive a certificate of completion to validate the individual’s ability to interpret /identify over 20 unique heart dysrhythmias.
